I'm stuck on question 1. Haha! No seriously, I'm stuck on question 1. There is a boxed field and under the box says "am the sponsor submitting..etc". Under the box is where you identify who you are in relationship to the beneficiary. So what do you write in the box? I assume I write my name...but the verbage under the box is either not grammatically correct or I'm not understanding the purpose of this field. Please advise :]

The field reads "I, __________, am the sponsor submitting this affidavit of support because...."

So, yes you write your name.

the whole appliction is not correct

wait till you get to the support agreement

Number of people on this form you are appling for (1 spouse)

later says if married put 1

1 for yourself

now add /3 wiold be the answer but there are only 2 in the house (you and the spouse)

and last year's income

and current income

according to instructions these have to be the same amount whether you make more or less than last year

not sure what genius did these applicaitons but clearly they weren't thinking

The household size section is clearly explained in the instructions.

As for the income section, I don't really recall.

Why don't you just use the version on the link I posted, as it's the latest version...?

Yep, I was using the form that expired in March. I saved the form a couple months ago to a thumb drive that I took to Kinkos yesterday to print off. Will reprint the latest version and fill it out again :/

Did you ever once think to use the most updated version? Did you then also stop to ponder if maybe that's why they make revisions. For example the error your form has.

From USCIS:

"07/02/15. (Starting 10/06/15, USCIS will only accept the 07/02/15 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/22/13 edition.) The edition date can be found at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions."

Please don't insult my intelligence. I wasn't being rude and neither should you. I made an error, forgive me. The version that I downloaded only a couple months ago from the USCIS had an expired date that I did not notice was expired. I didn't realize it was expired until the more pleasant lady pointed it out...after all, why was an expired form from March still on the USCIS website long after it expired?

I reported to a mod to have the pic with your real name removed. Sigh.

Please people don't do this.

Also, play nice! ;)

To anyone who claims the form doesn't make sense, it does. It is a legally binding document so needs certain verbiage. Also it's not an application. This form, as many USCIS forms are, is a universally used form for many visa types, not just spousal. If you have trouble with the forms, perhaps hiring a good lawyer may be of some benefit to you.
