We are now waiting for my interview. But as advance knowledge i want to know where could i possibly get my daughter fast and be here with us in US? Please help me.

You have a very limited window to do this, so you should act swiftly. You only have one year from the issuance date of the principal K-1 visa to be able to obtain a K-2 visa under follow-to-join procedures.

If this is the route you wish to go down, and you have enough time, contact the embassy and let them know you wish to exercise follow-to-join benefits on an already-issued K-1. They will advise you on the next steps from there.

If you choose not to get a K-2, your husband could petition your daughter as her stepfather. It would be approximately a year or so from petitioning to her obtaining her immigrant visa.

Hi,

Your daughter will learn English much faster here in the US than a school in the PI.

I came to the US at age 5 and there is a noticeable difference between my English and my older siblings' English.

My niece studied English in Vietnam for 4 years. She came here for 1 year of high school on a J-1 visa. Her English improved so much.

Best of luck on the K-2.

You can get her a K-2, but it must be issued within a year of your K-1 visa being issued. If you listed her on the I-129F petition, then this will be your easiest and fastest way to get your child here. If you wait years, then the USC stepparent will petition for her at that time via an I-130.

There is time to get everything done.

The K-2 must be issued by 11/14/2015.

If there is a father on the birth certificate, you will need his notarized written permission to allow the child to immigrate to the US or a court order.

Child will also need a passport.

What better way to learn a language than live in a country that speaks it, especially while she's still young. She won't pick nuanced differences in the way words are used in PI and here.

Hi...I did some research it say that here in Philippines even if the kids were recognize and used their father last name.. Still the custody is in the mother because their not married, you don't have to show anything.. Passport and birth cert of the child is only needed to travel..and its better if you will travel together with you kids..
