2 main factors, face time, how much time have you spent together?

I have never been to Jamaica, how normal is this scenario.

I was there for almost 2 weeks. I suppose that was not enough.. I just don't know. I have seen other couples get approved with meeting for less time.

We had a similar case as carolynhotstuff. I am more than 20 years older than my husband as well and we were denied our K1. It took 2 more years after the denial to marry on my 7th trip to India. (14 months of that waiting for the USCIS to render their final decision to allow us another chance to file without prejudice) We filed the CR-1 in April of 2014 and 13 months later, my husband is here with me now in the U.S. We've been together 5 1/2 years, so as previously mentioned, gather tons of proof and documentation and be prepared for a battle. Make a couple trips if you can afford it. You could try making several one-week trips instead of doing one or two 2 week or longer trips. The more trips the better. Personally, I feel marrying and filing a CR-1 would give you a better chance than another K1, but it's all in what you feel best fits your current situation.

Best of luck to you both!

Why should it be the issue? no he is NOT. Please refrain from negative remarks. I am only asking people to help me not try and hurt me more.

I sent everything Ash. Phone records chats plane record hotel slips pictures everything I could send I sent.

Sorry, i actually meant to say "Should not be" , see how forgetting one word changes everything.

20 yrs difference should not be the issue of the denial in my opinion, i have seen people with 20+ yrs difference get approve.

Hope things work out on your end but i agree with the others why not get married?

See your PM for how to keep the petition there (the goal at all costs).

As a former consul explained to me recently, "Consuls are human lie-detectors."

There is no lie here. our relationship is real and bonafide. I believe he had some concern over our age difference as he asked him what things we have in common. I saw your message and have done so. thanks.

Sorry to hear that , but what I understood from all issues posted in VJ , the problem not in USCIS or NVC , but the major problem is always with the CO at the embassy , they are always the ones who make things difficult for others , 20 years gap is not much , here in Egypt if the gap is 25 and more the couple can not get married. But in your case is not much at all , all what you have to do is to get married live together in your finace country for a while then apply for IR-1 .

My fiancé just had his interview. as explained we have a 20 year age gap. Although my fiancé answered all of his questions the CO said that it was not enough proof and is sending my petition back to the US. Is there anything that I can do at this point! or is all hope lost?

Not sure the age is the issue here... I have a friend who was 53 and applied for his fiancée who was 23 and got approved...

I guess you guys probably did not provide enough evidence of your relationship

Sorry to hear..
