Can't FREAKIN reach NVC

Hey, I've been trying since August 1 to reach anyone at the National Visa Center but all I get is an automated answering with the following message " Due to high call volumes, all our blah, blah, blah"...you get the rest. And the straight hangs up. No options given. NOTHING!

Anyone else experiencing the same problem and any other options of how to get in touch with these people to get a case status.

Try calling at 658am eastern time that's when I got through to them I've done that for a week just got my case number today

I tried the Nonimmigrant number the woman said I could call to ask about my nvc case number. The immigrant number is freaking ridiculous never got through. A k1 is technically a Nonimmigrant Visa. she said it was okay to call the number back anytime

keep trying but try calling at 7am EST or a minute or two before their hours of operation.

The correct number to call for K1's is 603-334-0700 from the hours of 7am-12am EST. Yes it's usually always busy, but you can get through. Call right before they open and keep trying until you get into the queue.

It took me exactly 34 tries this morning and I got through. After being on hold for 45 minutes and being transferred 4 times (every time it was "let me transfer you to a case specialist"), I was finally able to talk to someone about the case.

Just keep trying! :)

Are you guys serious..! I thought they were just that busy. Those "Mother F". Where the hell am I gonna find the time to play around with these fools. This sucks! Please post that alternative number ASAP.

There is no alternative number. You no longer contact the DOS regarding cases.

yep, you gotta keep hitting "re-dial" I have to do that about 15 - 20 times but I finally get through, and then, had to hang on and wait for approx. 30 minutes listening to that elevator music. ye gadz. it almost hypnotizes me. Be patient, re-dial, re-dial, re-dial, and, eventually, you'll get through.

Both times I got through TO NVC, I spent not minutes, but hours, just sit down, have two phones in case one battery runs down, and be patient, have a "cold drink" or two, and be prepared to be

very patient, you will finally make it.

even if you have to dial a hundred times.. dont give up

dial till it rings

and when u get connected

turn on speaker and do ur thing.. eat, go shopping, watch a movie (i was even working when i called nvc lol)

cuz it's another 30min-1hr (maybe more) till u get to talk to a rep.

cheer up :) ur not alone.
