NVC to U.S. Emb Manila

Hello all, I've been lurking here for a little while. Had a good experience so far with the CSC. 30 days for Visa approval! Does anyone know how long it takes for the visa package to go from the NVC to the Embassy in Manila? Just trying to calculate calendar time of events, etc.

Also, while I'm posting. My fiancé traveled to Manila for a job recently to help pay some bills, etc. She has all but disappeared. Dropped off the map completely. Perhaps no load? Busy with the new job? Just waitressing but it's a lot of hours. Has this ever happened to anyone on here?

From NOA2 until the embassy had the package was one month for me. From MNL number to embassy was one week.

She went by boat. 24 hr travel time. Haven't heard from her on chat since July 30th. Spoke with her about same time on the phone. hmmmm.

We met Dec. 2014 online. In person in late May/ early June this year. 2 week trip. OMG what a connection! This is killing me.

If her family have not heard from her either, they should file a missing person's report.

I have searched the local news, no boat accident from Masbate in the last few week.

Something doesn't seem quite right here. You let your fiancee go to Manila, a place that you have been to 3 times and it was "horrific" and "disgusted"? She was going to find work to pay bills but you have no idea what kind of work or where she will be staying?

Do you plan to support her when/if she comes to the US?

I'm probably going to get blasted for saying all of this but I will finish with what I started with. Something doesn't seem quite right......

I waited 14 working days, and spent about 2 hours on the phone to get to NVC, but got all the info. I needed.

So, about 14 working days, you can probably get the info. you need. Just be ready to be patient, getting through to NVC, it is not easy.

Hello!

I live in Manila. If no one has been able to find her/be in contact with her for more than 24 hours then I suggest that her family/friends report for a missing person. Anything I can help, please let me know. I work for the Government so I have a couple of resources in my hands such as connecting to Social Welfare and the police but I'm leaving on the 22nd though. But anything I can do while I'm still here! Do you happen to have her mobile number? I can call to check from time to time. You can also use social media. The PH is the Facebook capital of the world I think so information gets spread pretty fast via the social network

Our case was approved July 31, 2015, and I will start calling NVC this coming Friday. I hope I can get my MCN soon.

She went to Manila on her own. I suggested she not go but I don't control the actions of other people. I've helped her financially as much as I can but she wanted to go there for work.

Can someone please help me? I need to file a missing persons report. Who do I call in Manila?

It should be her family here to file for that. There's nothing you can do if you are in the US sorry to said that. The police will just probably tell you that she is hiding from you for whatever reasons. Her family just have to go to the local police station in Masbate and report her missing. They are the ones who should be the first to report her missing and not when people told you about it VJ.

You must be really worried but something is really fishy here.
