SSN after AOS

Just a quick question I'll fly into the US soon..and will apply for SSN# first ..

1. do I need a i-94 before applying the SSN#?

2. Or do I need it all?

1. yes. I-94 available online after you successfully exit the airport, or the day after.

2. No, you not need the SSN at all. But there's a Venn Diagram involved in 'Wants, Needs and Desires', having a SSN opens up the intersect space considerably.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I know exactly how to file for a SSN. Also, my wife and I have been together for years so filing the AOS ASAP is our priority so she can get AP and her EAD card quickly. If I should wait to apply for her SSN because it makes the process easier then fine, but I just don't understand why I should.

Most couples take time before they get married and here I've gotten married and filled out all AOS paperwork before the two weeks minimum needed to apply for SSN. What should I do?

Go and get her ssn tomorrow. Sooner, rather than later. Much easier now. Don’t wait. Congratulations on your marriage!
