Im only asking about skipping the extra relationship proof that some people include ahead of time to try to trigger a waiver.

There is not such thing called "trigger a waiver" - or I might misunderstood your words-. People got NPIW just probably because the local office is one of the busiest ones. If you have noticed that there are some applicants from some certain cities are always get interview for instance Detroit. Most of people I have known or read on VJ that local office in Detroit get interview. Applicants that their applications processing for instance at USCIS office in Kendall like mine got NPIW. I knew two of them.

Newark is processing cases from Nov 2014. As a comparison, my field office is processing from Sept 2014. I think there's a pretty good chance you'll get a letter too. Who knows how accurate their site is though. You won't know til the letter pops up in the mailbox, sadly.

Thank you for your reply. No, there is no thing called trigger a waiver. It was my (slang) way of asking if there is anything I could do to make sure I got an interview rather than a waiver. However, your explanation still makes perfect sense and is very helpful, thank you!

I know my file is not in Buffalo. This was in reply to someone asking if they could tell which state would get a waiver. I was saying Buffalo is really behind so that's probably why I got an NPIW.

So I actually received an email on Friday at about 5pm (20 days since approval) with a tracking number! It was mailed to my husbands parents house the next day so they have my green card until we see them this week!

I'm reading timelines where people have adjusted from a k1 and have had

RFE for a new medical. I was under the impression if you file within one year of actually landing in the states on your K1 you would NOT require another medical if your AOS is outside of the one year expiration of the medical exam. Is that true that you potentially will need another medical if your original k1 medical expired and you filed for AOS within that one year timeframe?

We had RFE for a new medical, and we filed 8 days after his arrival to the USA. That was not even 3 months after the original medical in Dublin. And our RFE was dated a month and a day after we passed the one-year mark. USCIS is horribly inconsistent. THAT's the most annoying part for me!

Question for all those who've been around this thread awhile... when you started the NPIW journey, were there others who got waivers at the same time you did that got approved 2 or 3 months after the letter was received? Or did most people not hear any updates for the stated 6 months or longer? I've been reading this thread for a long time but I didn't start from the first thread so I'm just curious. We filed in February and got our letter in June. Another person who filed two weeks before us and got their NPIW letter the same day we got ours, was just approved. I don't want to get my hopes too far up if extremely random approvals are the norm.

So happy to see the end of the tunnel. Good thing we're decent record keepers, because I have ZERO desire to gather evidence for ROC. Congrats to all I've missed! Hang in there for those still waiting.

We have not heard any news. The 60 day mark for RFE review is 8/24. Our online status has not changed, and no notices have come in the mail.

I have just noticed that we have an almost identical Timelines and processing sequence, I also received NPIW letter on the same month, I would just like to know if in the NPIW letter that you received, does it state that you will hear from them a decision in about 6 months from the date of this letter?

Whats the number you called and how did you know your card was in production? I am trying to figure out when we should expect it to ship. Our case was approved August 7th (online). I appreciate your feedback and majob congrats. I hope you have it in hand today and pop a bottle of champagne.

The number I call is 1-800-375-5283 it's actually the general number for USCIS. I knew my card was in production my checking my case status online at USCIS.GOV. It will update to "ordered new card". I'm definitely celebrating another milestone!! Thanks!

A short update about my case.

I received the welcome letter the 14th (dated on 10th). No news about the green card, just a line on myUSCIS telling me that they "ordered your new card" (8/7/2015). I am impatient to see the famous update "production of your new card". A friend told me he waited 4 weeks... half way for me ! ^^
