I've talked to NVC multiple times about this matter and they always said that you DON'T need to have translations if your documents are written in the official language of the country where the applicant is from. If you are from Russia and sending a birth certificate and a police certificate in Russian - you are perfectly fine! Checked this and rechecked this. We sent NVCmy docs in Russian and the case is complete, so it is really fine!

If your documents are in Turkish, send them in as they are.

If your documents are in English, send them in as they are.

If your documents are in any languages other than Turkish or English, send them in along with a certified translation.

US embassy in Ankara accepts applications for Turkish, Iranian and Syrian nationals. Therefore they have this requirement which confuses Turkish applicants. The official language of the country is Turkish and you are good to provide docs in Turkish. Iranians & Syrians should include English translations.

If you are Turkish and you have docs, for instance your divorce decree is in German, then you should include English translation as well.

Certified translation: In Turkey translators who are registered with a notary has a certification they are competent to translate from/to English/Turkish. They attach this to the translation. Ask the translator and they will understand.

Hope that helps.
