dwheels76, please help if you can, I'm freaking out a little bit. My interview is coming up on August 20th, and I only have a scanned copy of my husband's divorce decree from his previous marriage. My divorce decree from my previous marriage is fine - it's original and apostilled, but neither my husband nor his ex-wife have an original of this document, and neither of them are in the country to request an original. Will it be fine if I just take the original of my decree, and the scanned (not certified!) copy of my husband's decree?

Check with the embassy. They might give you instruction on how to get the copy certified or something from the location you are in. You wouldn't want unnecessary administrative processing and few months extra because of a missing original document.

Our cc was July 20 and the confirmation letter from NVC came today Aug 1st.

Confused !!!

I saw three N/A on 22 July 2015 & confirmed CC over the phone.

But received the CC email on 29 July 2015.

Which 1 is my actual CC date??

it seems they keep saying that scheduling interviews is started but no one here got date.

I just got off of the phone with NVC. The CSR told me that they already booked all the interview slots for September. So, I will have to wait.

Wth!! Did she just say something to get off of the phone? I didn't see any but one September interview posting here.

I have just a general question. I'm going to visit my husband in September because it'll have been 6 months since I've seen him but I was wondering when he eventually does get an interview date and gets his visa, can I go to Jordan and take a flight back with him? Or do I have to be in the U.S? I'd rather be in the airport with him when he reaches the U.S.

Any thoughts?

Of course you can travel back with him. There's no requirement for you to be here. How would they know. Get that ticket go get your man.

While we're on the topic, what are good reasons to get an expedite? I want to ask for an expedite but I can't think of anything=/ I just don't think it's fair to have to wait more than 6 months just to get an interview date.

Death, dying, deployment, medical, financial (that's a biggie for the petitioner if you can show that). Remember its your embassy that decided not NVC.

Add mi my case was complete july 21 . I dont know if call today or whaut to check ceac s page . Maybe we got something by the end of today. I heard in another forum that they give interviews to F2a for sept and then cr1 are going to get their date.....

I just called and nothing yet. 74 days and counting...(after cc), the representative did not even want to tell me if they were scheduling. They sound like robots. He said there is no specific week to schedule, that is all up to the embassy. ????

Just called the nvc and still no interview then I ask of Mexico was scheduling and she said all we can do was wait and that the embassy sends them a calendar of dates and times
