Homosexuality isn't exclusive in this. When it comes to death in the bible there are a few things that warrant the death penalty.

If we were go by this list as above, I wonder how many people would make the cut..

Yes I'm aware. And the Quran is the same way. And the Torah for that matter.

I know, my point is, if the folks want to hold up the homosexuality angle, then I hope they don't eat meat, or wear clothes that have different materials, or work on the Sabbath. Because they're all the equal in punishment.

So much easier to just give up religion.

I haven't figured out how heterosexuals are feeling threatened by the gay community. If you are gay you are gay. If you are not, you are not. What is the big deal?

there are only so many new mercs and audis coming in from germany, and then there's the real estate problem.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yeah. And my point is we should throw them all away because they advocate doing stuff like that to begin with.

I think religion isn't the problem. It's people's interpretation of it. My family is deeply religious, but even my mother(whose as close to a saint anyone can be IMO) knows working on the weekend happens.

There's nothing to interpret in this statement

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

That's the word of God folks.

It is, and yet the same folks who are crying about gay people are committing no less than 3 of the other sins that are punishable by death.

We should be so lucky people are hypocrites. If all of God's word in the big three texts were adhered to, we'd all be dead. My point is if we are going to, as a civilized society, ignore degrees from God like the ones quoted, what's the worth of all the others? They're only as powerful as we have decided they need to be. So why have them?

That's a good debate. I'm not the guy to have it. But you should sit down with someone well versed in the Bible and hash it out.

Cop out. No amount of being "well versed" can justify what comes out of Leviticus.

Not copping out, I just don't throw down unless I'm prepared for the battle. I don't know the Bible inside and out enough to argue what you're talking about. Same thing goes with the Qur'an. If you want, I can PM you my mom's number and you can get your pound of flesh. Just be warned, she's a true believer...
