Another stumble at CFO.

Here is the real deal. You can complete your CFO prior to having a visa in hand. Like it has been said, return with the certificate and have the sticker placed in the PP.

No the lady had no idea what she was talking about when she said that they couldn't hand out the sticker, since the one doing the interview was not there. That is the biggest load of cattle dung that I have ever heard.

So, to prove this lady wrong the question, if the OP had known, was to ask her "so your telling me that if I go to the Cebu Office they won't give me a sticker because the interviewer is not there? And, if I go to NAIA and get my sticker placed in my PP and she is not there, I am not going to get a sticker." I'm sorry lady, no disrespect but that is a bunch of dung. Can I please see your supervisor?

Enough said.

It's the Philippines the people are conditioned there.

Fall in Line, Don't ask questions, Never question anybody in authority............

I like the last security guard response, ROTFL.

Didn't know that our simple experience at this part of the journey would start such a thread. As above you CAN do PDOS before visa is issued at least for K1 and CR1 visas. There were 5 in her breakout session. She was only CR1 the other 4 were K1, 1 gay and 3 straight. Of the 4 K1's only 2 had PP with visa in hand. Other 2 did not have USEM interview yet. As above have no idea how it applies to other US visas or visas to other countries even.

My asawa didn't press the 'supervisor' button as she has in the past because her daughter and sister were in tow and she didn't think the time or effort would be worth it since she knew she would be coming back to do the same for our daughter. She has though before both at NBI and NSO much to the consternation of the original clerk. I really think that the gvt. employees enjoy jerking around the populace just because they can, haha. But in all actuality not much different than the emps. at USCIS and NVC here. Other than no face to face interaction.

I can just see the fiasco at NAIA 3 hours before departure to US and CFO office /counter is not yet open or some dumb a** along the way didn't sign on the correct line or some other idiotic unimportant item was incorrect. That would be HIGH blood!

You'd be surprise but NAIA is the easiest and everyone there has been great. Never in my 3 years here have I have run across a post where there were problems at NAIA, but Manila.... don't get me started. The certificate is the key to a smooth trip through NAIA. They don't care except for the "paper". Got the "paper" and you got your CFO sticker. Thank you ma 'me have a nice day and a good flight.

That's great to hear.

So is the CFO office staffed 24/7?

If it is then I'll suggest we just get both exit passes there instead of my asawa making yet another trip to Manila.

Unless their offices are close by to Baclaran or Divisoria. She wants to do wardrobe shopping once more before I arrive in August!

The CFO office at NAIA is by appointment only. If you follow the steps I have on my website (go to the bottom of the page) then you should not have any problems as many before you have used these steps with success.

Vol, yes and no to your statement that you can do a walk up. If you get lucky and someone is in the office when YOU need them then yes, no appointment. BUT, what happens when no one is there??? Yup, your screwed??

CFO NAIA specifically states to make an appointment.

just to be safe.. can fiance go to NAIA day before flight and get her sticker?? So she have no worries on flight day?

She can go either to the Manila office or NAIA, but remember if she goes to NAIA she needs to call ahead for reservations. Follow the link I posted in a early post on this subject for phone numbers and procedures. Unless you have a lot of time to wait for someone to show up at the NAIA CFO office then call ahead.

Do they typically keep to the scheduled time? If we schedule the appointment at 1.5 hrs before departure should I have high confidence they will be there? Also their offices are in the lobby area before you pass through the gate area?

Yes they are reliable at NAIA if you follow my directions as this is how they perfer the process to transpire. Meeting them an 1.5 hours before is cutting it a little close to making your flight. Normal processing from the moment you walk in the door at NAIA, through ticketing/luggage drop off, through security, then immigration and onto your gate is two hours. Their offices depends on which terminal you will be leaving out. Terminal 3 it's on the 3rd floor CFO.

When calling to book your appointment with CFO, have your flight number, the terminal of my departure , and flight time. They will need the following documents:

1. GCP certificate original and photocopy

2. Passport original and photocopy

3. Visa original and photocopy

4. Immigrant form can be downloaded on the site or can be done at the desk.

CFO NAIA is open daily except for regular holiday like Christmas and New year. They will be open from 5 am to 12 midnight. The reason why you need to call them 2-3 days so that you will be put on their list and someone will be available to meet you when you arrive at your departure terminal. CFO NAIA Office: (+632) 879-5685

We found them in Terminal 3, UPstairs right by where the locals go to catch taxi's. It's wasn't an office, it was just a small kiosk looking thing, Similar Kiosk like where you pay Travel Tax, We went a few days early due to flying thru Manila and got sticker, this was in November 2014.
