Are you saying that the majority of blacks do not vote democrat?

Not at all, I think this is an undisputed fact. In your sentence, you said the political party that represents them (sorry, paraphrasing) implying that the party represents blacks. This is what I called debatable, I don't deny that the majority of blacks support the Democratic Party.

If the majority of blacks support the democratic party, does that not mean that the democratic party represents the ideals of the majority of black people?

Nope.

Labour Party had similar issues this year in the UK, thought that they could take a whole segment for granted and ignore there issues whilst getting their votes.

You're talking about something completely different.

This is why I said two additional words are needed "claims to". The Democratic Party mentions all the time that they support the ideals of minorities, and the big bad rich republicans want a return to slavery, but I guess I don't really see the results. What I mean is this, wouldn't it be nice for blacks living in the inner city to be able to get school vouchers to attend any school? Is this a good way for the Dems to support minorities particularly African Americans?

Of course this is only one example of a lack of support, but as you might say, what is the GOP doing? They have much further to go, but who knows, maybe some day their message may get out as more and more conservative minorities move into positions of power. At least there is much more of a minority mix with the candidates running on the GOP side than on the Dem side.

Or, they can fix the schools in the neighborhoods and provide a quality education and the exact same opportunities rich kids get.

The issue with the GOP is a bulk of their policies are geared against minorities. Voting rights, bills that target LGBT communities. Racist, misogynistic, homophobic statements don't help either. Trump's entire campaign has been gaining steam because he said Mexico is basically a country full of criminals and rapists. That should scare people right there...

Black people lean towards more conservative ideas. Strong in faith with God. They should align with them perfectly, but the extremists have highjacked the party. And that's who gets catered to. Until the GOP gets rid of this element, it's going to have the same problem over and over again...

I think you're reading far too much into my original statement. I was simply making the connection between blacks and the democratic party in order make my point of how ridiculous it is to have a dinner for the democratic party named after past slave owners. It would be no different than say the republicans throwing a Third Reich themed bash for bankers and jewelers.

I still don't understand how the voting ID laws cause any harm to minorities, or anyone else? Shouldn't a person have to prove who they say they are? From what I have read, every time these come up, they include ways for people with no means to get a free ID. It is of course all citizens (can we still call them that) right to vote, but voting is also a responsibility of said citizen. To me this means becoming informed about what your vote means at that particular election. Plus, if the plan was to keep minorities away from the polls with these laws, they didn't seem to work too well.

Could you please post some examples of getting a free ID card? I would like to read about it. I'm all for everyone having an ID card, and E-verify would work wonders on cutting down on the big immigration problem we're having.

They changed members and ideals.

and underbritches !! It was a smelly swap-meet, no one has really recovered from it. Someone did manage to get Pelosi's underbritches on a private sale on ebay, but I ain't gonna mention what I paid for them...
