Submit missing document

Hi,

My wife the beneficiary, had her interview and was refused due to a missing document. We have the opportunity to submit this document via the courier service or personally. Does anyone have experience with this situation. Can one way or the other speed up the proceess? Once we submit this document her visa will be granted. Any thoughts and/or suggestions?

I would assume if you delivered it personally, it would be quicker. Just a question, though. Did they take her passport or tell her to send it with the missing document?

No, they didn't take her passport, unfortunately. That's why worried there will be a delay.

In Israel you either serve in the army or do national service. My wife did national service but the Consul wanted to see that the army released her to do national service, even though we had papers showing that she completed her required national service.

we found the document and all should be ok now.

Yes, she handed it to the reception desk together with her passport. So now we wait...

Actually yes. Visa was issued a few days after this conversation started and arrived about five days after that. My wife is now in the U.S. with me and the Green Card is in the mail. In the end it all worked out. Thanks!

May I ask what your case status said after the interview?

Of course. A day after we submitted the missing document, which was 2 days after the interview the status changed from "administrative processing" to "issued".

My husband submitted his missing documents to jerusalem two weeks ago(July 29) and his case is still in AP

The document that we submitted most likely did not require a review. In all honesty I don't even think they did anything with it except mark it off their list that it was submitted. They even lost the document, it was never returned. Each case is unfortunately different. Can I ask what document was missing in your case?
