Hi MarinaMaya. For your orientation my cc was on June 15 and my interview is scheduled for October 27. I assume that cc from July and August will get interview for November and so on, until the end of 2015. When was your CC? We can predict your date, but they send it usually before the 15, for the interview to be scheduled at the end of the next month. So based on my long observation, if you did not get your date by the end of this week, then you have to wait until the middle of October to have an interview around the Christmas.

My CC is in September. However I have a theory that they take longer in summer than in Autumn to schedule interviews.

I know that embassy is very busy in summer with all students and tourists applying.

I wanted to test my theory hoping that we won't have to wait 4 months +.

Immigration visas have nothing to do with tourists and students, they are processed differently. There were plenty of empty days to schedule non immigrant visa while I was waiting for interview. I was wondering why they are not calling my mother on those days. Anyway now that you know the reality you can hypotesize as much as you want. They will take there time. Good luck with your application.

Ok so I've had my k1 fiancé visa invite for my fiances interview since August 27th 2015 and case was approved July 9th by a uscis. Visa application is submitted and payed for. My fiancé and I have been checking almost every hour for an interview date. All dates have been blocked off and no one can schedule appointments.I have wrote numerous emails and made plenty of calls and all I get as a response from them is that I have to keep checking until they release new dates. Seems strange that people can schedule dates to go to the consulate for tourist and other visas and it's no more than 3-4 weeks later but it's been months and they can't freaken get there k1 visa section organized enough to open dates. It's been months for most of us. Sorry for my venting but I'm so stressed because of this.

Can someone please tell me how long does it take to get a passport back after the interview and visa approval in Armenia. I bought tickets for my mother already for the next week, but it's over the week that we are waiting for her to get her passport.

Yes, this is what is written

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.
