You can call a senator and congressman a lot easier that USCIS. And even better if the time is right you can pay to attend a fundraiser, odds are you will spend less than what you spend on a lawyer and then you'll see how fast things can move. Good luck, I'm assuming your partner is muslim. I personally would leave that out of any pleas for help from politicians, but you have to what makes sense for you.

but it's asking for my wife's alien registration number. I asked my wife but she

said she doesn't have one (she's a USC). So do i leave this part out?

The release is not for the usc. The release needs to be filled out and signed by you. The waiver is not hers...its yours. Its not the same as inquiring about an i130. It does Make a huge difference. If you Don't have an "A" number...don't worry about it. The receipt numbers and name is what they need.

My fiance got his A-Number after we got our NOA2 from the USCIS. Are you sure you don't have the A-number on your USCIS documents?

The usc does not have an A number. It isn't really important ..they ask for it but the case number is what is most important. The waiver receipt number.

i have an A number, but the release form was asking for my wife's (petitioner) A number too.

But lovemytico said it's not needed, so i left it blank and faxed it

First ==call the Senator and ask for an appointment as they need a waiver signed to assess your information and case

if too far to see him (he/she will assign someone in the office to work on your case) send him a letter and they will send to you a paper to release information

We are talking about US Senator for your state (can write to 1 or both of them)

I wrote a letter for them a month ago and now the case is back at the embassy for the 2nd interview

We do know the systems have had problems / guessing it is part of the hacking done on government computers / embassy officer said they crashed computers to prevent problems/ true or not true / no way to know

my wife did call the senator yesterday, she was told to get me to fill out the release form and fax it to them.

She was also told to call back in 2 days to see what happened.

The thing is, don't you have to be waiting for your passport to be put on AP?(from what i understand).

I'm not in that stage yet (as i haven't received the instruction letter asking for my passport, police certificate,medical etc).Also, my CEAC account doesn't show AP

It will day refused until they start processing your visa
