My husband and I just got approved last month out of Netherlands. Hes 25 I am 42 we had no problems at all. They did question him on it. Asked "how do you deal with the age difference between you and your wife?" He replied "honestly sir, I don't even know how to answer that cause it has never been a question or thought in our minds as it being a problem." Officers response was " perfect answer. Couldn't have a better one then that. Best answer I have heard ever from questioning that. Usually people have them answers rehearsed."

My husband is 19 years older than me. I came from the Philippines with 5 kids which my husband was not able to met when he came over to visit. So if you really think you can see lot of red flags, age difference, country which fraud is highly prevalent, and petitioning the kids which he haven't met at all. BUT, it didn't bother our visa journey at all, it just went as smooth as we never thought it would be. We got our visas with no problem not even an RFE. As long as you can prove to them that the relationship is genuine and petitioner can support the beneficiary you will be fine.

We were thinking of submitting 50 pages or so of chat logs. A few emails from various times in our relationship, photos of us with his family, and him with my daughter. And our flight tickets together to and from Barbados.

I tried getting his name on my lease and bank account, but they said he must be here in person to sign for those.

I was able to add my husband to two different account at two different banks; that shouldn't be an issue because you are married. The bank should offer to give you an "add member" paper, have you send it to your husband in the Netherlands and have him sign and notarized by a witness. It may be a pain, but it can be done.
