Three weeks ago, July 2nd.

We checked the post online, and the US embassy did receive the package.

Except we've yet to receive an email or text confirmation. I believe the average to receive one was around a week, and thus I'm nervous.

Any ideas what to do, or who to call? Should I just wait more? Has our application just not been accepted yet? We haven't had the package returned to us either, so I believe everything inside was good to go. I definitely triple-checked it, anyway.

since it's London USCIS, I say send em a nice postcard, instead. Report back, when able?

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Ha, a postcard.

Is there a number to call? We had a hassle when being issued our marriage approval by the Home Office... totally in the dark throughout that entire process. Only at the last minute did they approve. Calling them over and over was the definition of insanity.

I also meant to say June 25th in the first post, not July 2nd. We sent the package on the 25th, 3 weeks ago today.

Gonna check my bank account and see if there's a problem there.

Okay, I've rechecked the post for Royal Mail and they did indeed deliver it. It was received at 8:01 AM on the 26th, signed for to West London.

Checked my credit card account and yep, it was charged $420 on June 29th. So that's good to go.

Mhmmm.

Still nothing.

Our lease is up in two weeks. Staying with her brother for a time.

This wait really sucks. I'm paranoid that something went wrong.

If they cashed your check and the package was received, then I'd say you've nothing to worry about. They do say on their website that the process can take a while, and to give yourself about 10 months before making plans - although in practice, the whole process of DCF London takes 3 / 4 months or so.

Planning Ahead
U.S. petitioners who are planning on filing for their foreign spouses/children for immigrant visas to relocate to the United States should file the Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130) a minimum of ten (10) months prior to the date of the plan relocation.

Did you read my guide (see my sig)?

Their last update says:

As of July 31, 2015, we are processing petitions filed on July 01, 2015.
The next update will be published on Friday, August 07, 2015.

http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/uscis/i130filing.html

So, yours was probably in that batch they're referring to and a response will probably show up by the time they do their next update on Friday. You can contact them via the email address in my guide (the email is also on London embassy's checklist PDF), however, or the contact form on their website. http://london.usembassy.gov/contact.html Stuff does go missing in the post sometimes.

I am living in El Salvador and I did the DFC procedure as well, I filed the petition on the US consulate on June 15th, 2015 but they told me I have to wait around 2 months or so for a response. I hope this helps, just have to be patience.

Good to hear.

We're still waiting, as usual.

The website says as of August 7th they're processing applications filed on July 1st, and our money was accepted on June 29th. So maybe we'll get something this week?

We're moving out of our apartment on the 21st of August. Does anyone know what to do with changing addresses?

So I emailed the wrong address (uscis.london@uscis.dhs.gov) a few days ago to inquire about the status of the application. Of course, I heard nothing.

Just sent the same email to this address: uscis.london@dhs.gov and received a response within the hour informing me that I should get an approval notice in the post within the next few days.

To be precise, for those wondering, they said:

The I-130 that you filed on behalf of your spouse was approved by our Vienna, Austria office on August 6, 2015.

o The I-130’s were sent to that office for processing due to staff shortages.

· The approved I-130 were just received yesterday in our office and we have in turn sent out the approval notices to you in today’s mail; you should receive the approval notice in the next day or so.

Woohoo. One step closer!

Just an update: She had her medical on September 7th in London, and we received the date of the interview today, scheduled for October 19th.

Things are looking up!
