Tube strike August 6th - heads up for interviews and medicals

Just wanted to post this here to make sure that anyone that this affects knows about it!

A 24 hour tube strike is planned for August 5th at 21:30. It says there will be talks to try avoid the strike, so it may get cancelled. If your interview or medical is on August 6th, then you may want to look into other travel or accommodation arrangements to ensure you arrive in time. I suggest if you will need to travel by taxi or bus that you add plenty of extra time as it will be chaotic.

My interview is that day, so I have a hotel nearby to the embassy booked for the night before to ensure I get there! Hopefully it doesn't affect the embassy's functioning, I should think they can prepare accordingly.

Good luck!

Man, I saw pictures of the strike from last week-that makes the traffic around here child's play. Those queues for the bus were insane!
