Ok that you for all your help and suggestion. Now I have one more stupid question lol... Ian just finished the DS-160 and at the end he printed out his confirmation page. We cant figure out where and how to pay for it online there was no link?

I hope you are on a computer because trying to find everything on a phone is difficult. You don't pay yet. You wait until an interview is assigned because you have to know that date to do the payment. They call it "registering your appointment". No appointment letter will come until you have completed all the steps on the webpage.

The Interview

You will receive an appointment letter approximately 4 weeks before your scheduled interview date. The letter will confirm the date and time of your visa interview and provide instructions on registering for the courier service and paying the MRV application fee.

Maybe your lawyer doesn't know the London specific process so is telling you to wait so he can find out for himself. Each embassy has a different process and they change from time to time. The UK forum on Visa Journey is the best place for you to keep up with what's current with London and ask your questions.

Does anyone no; Once you submit the online readiness form about how long it takes to get an appointment letter for visa interview?

Hi

I scheduled my medical before receiving packet 3, the docters never asked for any confirmation all though I took screen shots with me of the "READY" status on the CEAC site.

My medical appointment was completed on the 22nd July, I actually received packet 3 on the 23rd and completed the DS-160 and readyness form on the 24th, as yet no interview date (Packet 4)
