Thanks again for your help.

Good luck Jim. I hope things go smoothly for your extended family.

Is there a separate K-2 fee to be paid for the child of my fiance? This does not seem to be clear in the docs I have read. Her daughter is listed on the K-1 application.

Your help is appreciated.

Jim

Yes! You are applying for two visas there are TWO of EVERYTHING (almost)

Since her daughter is listed on the K-1 visa application and on the I-134 as family member, how does getting interviews work? They both need to be present at the mom's interview and a separate interview on the same day would likely not be possible.

And what about St. Luke's? Confirmation of interview is necessary in registering and appearing at the clinic. I think I read that the DS-160 confirmation number needs to be shown to St. Luke's too. Does that cover the proof of pending interview?

I'm not with them in Manila so I've never seen any of these forms online. I know the process, just not the precise steps.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Jim

When you schedule the appt. for Mom, it will ask if you would like to schedule another appt. and you answer yes and that is when you will use the receipt number from the daughters visa payment to schedule her appt. Both will be on the same day and at the same time. They will go together, stand before the CO and recite the oath together. Mom will be the primary interview, but a few questions will be asked of the daughter. One question they like to ask is "what do you call JimS?

The same with SLEC. Make an appointment and do all the same paperwork for Mom and Daughter.

As far as what you need to present to SLEC as proof to interview scheduling (and this is on my website), you will be required to present your appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service or you may print off a copy of your visa appointment confirmation page after you have scheduled your appointment online to begin your medical exam.

The DS160 can be filled out by you, you just can't hit the button that finalizes the document. So go and fill out one for Mom and one for Daughter. Leave them in an "open" state, give the information needed to open the DS-160 and have Mom open it and she can hit the button to finalize it for both forms. That way when asked who did what, you are abiding by their instruction set.
