Good luck on your immigration journey.

P.S. The real "sticker" shock takes place when you look at the fees associated with K1 & K2 AOS processes. :o Grab your wallet!

Is there a separate K-2 fee to be paid for the child of my fiance? This does not seem to be clear in the docs I have read. Her daughter is listed on the K-1 application.

Your help is appreciated.

Jim

Get the embassy letter which explains alot. The fee is $350 for each K2. More information can be found here

For the child K-2 visa interview, is it necessary to submit separate documents from the K-1beneficiary? The USEM page says divorce certificates. Since she is not old enough to have ever been married and my intention is to marry her mother, is this really required? The divorce certificates are in her mother's interview documents.

Also, my understanding is that a child under 16 years is not required to have NBI clearance or Cenomar. Is that correct?

Thanks,

Jim

For the child K-2 visa interview, is it necessary to submit separate documents from the K-1beneficiary? Yes, separate documents are required for a K-2. Some are age appropriate. You will not need separate I-129f for the children as they are included on mom's 129f. The USEM page says divorce certificates. Since she is not old enough to have ever been married and my intention is to marry her mother, is this really required? No. The divorce certificates are in her mother's interview documents.

The 129f is where you list the K2's.

Thanks,

Jim

I hope this helps.

It does help! Thanks!

Does the child need a copy of the I-134 and it's documentation?

Thanks!

Jim

No, only the mother needs I-134. Add the children to mom's I-134 at #3 under "Name of spouse and children accompanying or following to join person".

Any evidence of genuine engagement needed by the child. I think this is obvious, but am just very careful and want to be certain it is correct.

Thanks,

Jim

None is required. But if you have pictures with the children and you, then I would include them as it bolsters your case. It also demonstrates that you have began the process of melding your two families and that the children are comfortable with you. You want to get across in the pictures that she admires you as you admire her in a loving couple way. When it comes to the children, it's important that they "fit" with you and mom and not being left out of a warm and comfortable relationship with you. That will go along way.

The requirements for St. Luke's physical says 2 copies of passport bio page on "short bond" paper.

Don't know what that is. Will the place she goes to get copies know what it is? Apparently it copies same as original size of passport pages.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

There is nothing special that they are asking. Just lay the passport on the scanner glass centered left to right and at the top and create your copies that way. Once they get it if they want it "short" then you can neatly tear it at "their border" or cut it with a scissors.

It's not a big deal.
