Hi Everyone,

Here is a question. We received NOA2 on June 1, 2015. I was wondering. Since it is seemingly impossible to get the NVC on the phone as of late. Would it be better to contact the american consulate in the Philipines?

Does the NVC issue a different Case Number than the one on the form NOA2?

Has anyone actually gotten through?

Has anyone tried to email the NVC? What was the result?

Yes, NVC issues a different case number. I'd suggest you keep calling them to get your case number. Redail will become your friend. I called several times and it took between 2 to 60 redails and hold times of up to 20 minutes.

I've read that NVC will send the petitioner a letter once the case is mailed to the USE but have also read many people never getting this letter, so waiting for it might be a ####### shoot.

YOu need to be calling right now. I called early morning US time and got thru. If you wait until later in the day it will say circuits busy or just ring and ring

Its best to call them early like 7am or almost closing time like 11pm eastern time. If u picked morning usually u will get through within half an hour ( based on my case) .. just keep on redialing. The beneficiary can call also. I'm the beneficiary and the one who called them coz my fiance have limited time due to work. Im sure your case is already at the embassy. Us was approved last june 8. The consulate received it on july 1.. anyways goodluck

You should try around 6:57am EST and continue from there. Redial as much as it takes. I have heard of the NVC being emailed, but it can take a very long time to receive a reply. NVC is also very bad about sending a letter out informing you that the case is at the embassy.

You need to get the case number from NVC. The easiest is to just call them. If you get a busy signal or message, then simply hang up and immediately dial again. Don't wait 5 min to redial and try again...redial immediately.

You should be able to dial and redial about 20 to 30 times a minute until you get connected. At one time I was over 80 dials before I got through.

We are also in the same boat. We are stuck at NVC. Our NoA2 was approved on 4th June, case was sent to DOS on 16th June, till now there is no information about case. Today I called to DOS( ph(+12024857600), one lady told that our SRC number is not seen in the system.Can anybody suggest what should we do at this stage

You don't call the DOS. You call the NVC. 603-334-0700. They are open from 7am-12am EST. Keep dialing if you can't get through, it may take a very long time. Surprised the person didn't tell you to do that or direct you where to go.

If NOA2 was June 4th, you definitely need to prod them. You should have a case # by now and a welcome email. As the others have said, it can sometimes take up to 80 tries, though that's not the average. Don't give up.

got mine approved june 3. i called them this morning and they said it's in the system but noy fully finished or on process .

Once you get your MNL case number, you can schedule the interview and complete the medical.

The NVC will give you your MNL case number. Try calling them when they open. Be persistent. It worked for me.

At this point, you may be able to get your MNL case number from the U.S. Embassy Manila. It's not much easier calling them, but try calling them when they open.

I would say it's unlikely to be sent out yet. It's possible, but you would of received notice of such, either via the USCIS website, or from your paper NOA2 (have you received that yet?). Even then it has only been 8 days (exclude the holiday and weekends). I would say wait another week or so, it has to go to the NVC first, before it even gets to the embassy. If you are a California filer, it is also a possibility that getting your case to the NVC will take longer. If you have no information about it being sent to the NVC, you can try and call the USCIS to determine if they have sent it out.
