K1 interview - do I need to bring petitioner's divorce papers?

Hi everyone,

My partner Larissa (American) and I have received our NOA2 and have started preparing our paperwork for the interview. I have never been married but Larissa has - do I need to bring her marriage and divorce certificates? I've found conflicting information online and I'm worried because she no longer has originals.

Thanks,

Eloise.

Welcome to the forum.

Would not be a bad idea. For example, there is a current thread where the consulate lost the previously submitted RFE information. Getting back to the K1 Guide recommendation:

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):
1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

Good luck on our your immigration journey.
