Good day dwheels76 & to everyone here,

This is specifically to dwheels76 or anyone who can help me here. few questions plz:

1. How long does the police certificate last (life span)? idea how much it cost? The embassy asked me to apply for it in Lagos but I live in Abuja and by enquiry was told its done here(Abuja) too - is there an issue doing it here instead of Lagos?

2. I scheduled my interview for 27august thinking gathering my documents will take time, can I reschedule it? any implication or processes?

3. Can I do my K1 interview in Abuja apart from Lagos?

plz urgent. thanks

You've posted this in another thread, as well. Your posts will end up deleted because you aren't allowed to respond to a thread with your own questions instead of responding to the original poster. You need to either post a new thread or directly message the people you'd like to ask questions to (such as ones with the same country as you that you're seeing on these posts).

1.Police Certificate are good for a ear. But don't get them too early. They should not be obtained more than 3 months before interview. Cost it varies N3000 to N10K.

Depends if you go to the headquarters in Algabon and get them. Or to your local police station that will cost you more. Some have paid as much as N30K for police certificate.

2. Sue you can that's your choose. Just know you may get an interview 1 to 2 months later. I sure would not be cancelling it unless I had to.

3. K1's just like CR1/IR1 are only done in Lagos.

Don't forget your medical also is in Lagos also that's about N30K also

Hey I just finished compiling all my documents and am scheduled for interview in August 7th. The police certificate can be ready the same day, i got mine the same day. The only place you can do your police certificate is in Alagbon, Lagos bcos thats the only Criminal Investigation Bureau in Nigeria. I paid N6,500 for it.

You can reschedule but note that you can only reschedule twice after the initial scheduling and anything more than that your visa fee will be expired and you will have to pay another Visa fee. You cannot do your K1 visa interview in Abuja. Lagos consulate handles all k1 visa interviews.

Hope this is helpful though might have gotten all these info by now. Good luck!
