OP an atty is definitely needed I say contact Liz Cannon (google)

then U scan & send docs, her being a str8 shooter will tell you if

a re-petition can fly.

Was he a former LPR (if he AOS outside or at the border he does not qualify for 212 (H) relief

Kids cannot waiver parents on over-stays but they can on some crimes IF its waivable (immigration is complex)

Under extreme circumstances only will he be allowed back of he had a GC.

He can apply for B2 with D3 waiver to visit the only waiver that cover crimes with drugs etc Except terrorism, murder, Nazi affiliation & treason

He will have to show good reason to visit the US, strong ties in his hmoe country, Biz property, job, a new wife maybe & the CO has to agree

to the filing of this waiver at his consulate....A waiver atty can prepare a brief to be produced with B2 application

This is also a huge amount of effort, time and money just to get them a simple visit. Would all that effort be a suspicious red flag for an official deciding to allow entry?
