Yes this sometimes may depend on the country or someone's particular case. The Nicaraguan embassy allows the petitioner to go to the interviews but it is not required. I was not able to go to my husbands interview and it was not a problem. Had I been in Nicaragua at the time and wanted to go I could have. but No it is NOT REQUIRED.

Congrats on getting your interview date! El tiempo va a pasar rapido ahora! Felicidades!

Congrats!! and good luck!

For what I have read its not necessary for the petitioner to be with the beneficiary but it may help them feel less stressed out and more secure. So If the petitioner can travel and be with the beneficiary for that day, it would not hurt.

If your wife is living in the usa, it doesn't make sense to bring spouse to interview. spouse or no spouse, it will not change outcome of your interview. If you bring your wife inside consulate still, she can not accompny you to interview window. They won't even ask her anything anyway. Good luck on your interview.

Gracias.
