Hi! My fiancé and I just did our VAC and medical in Santo Domingo last Wednesday and Thursday. We stayed at a hotel right around the corner from the Consultarios de Visa called Duque de Wellington. They were very polite and helpful (even made a couple of copies I thought we may need for free). We decided to do VAC on Wednesday afternoon and medical Thursday am. (We didn't want to rush around). Register everything in her name.

My fiancé lives 3.5 hrs from SD. We arrived at 9am and were able to leave our bags in the hotel while we went to the VAC appt. We took a taxi to Galeria 360 (200 pesos each way). We got there 15 minutes before our interview time and he was done within 10 minutes.

The next morning he had the medical. He left the hotel at 5am and said there were already 15 people ahead of him in line. They give the beneficiaries a paper to fill out, so make sure she knows your US address and a phone number to reach in the U.S. He was done with the medical by 830am. They told him we can pick it up July 6. ( 11 days after medical, 1 day before our interview).

Best of luck!!!

Help me please> i just made the appointment (July 10th at 3 pm at the VAC for my wife to have her fingerprints and photos. taken, Can you please tell me what she needs to bring with her to do so. She will be going by herself as i will not be able to come there until the embassy interview on Aug. 11th. I called the embassy to ask what she needs to bring with her for the VAC appointment and they said she must bring everything that we need to bring for the embassy interview- Her Passport, Cedula(National ID), Birth Certificate, Marriage Liscence, Evidence of relationship, Police Certificate, and proof of ecomomic solvency. Can this possible be true that she needs all this. Some of these Items I have the originals for and some my wife has and we were planning to organize them togather when I arrive a few days before the Embassy Interview. Does she really need these just to fet her pre-interview fingerprints and photos at the VAC?? Her appointment for the VAC is 3pm on July 10th and we were hoping to have her go for the medical exam 1st this in the morning on that same day/ . Can you please list what does my wife need to bring with her for the medical exam also. Megandeli, ilovemyman and others who recently went through this process if you can spell this out for me (like you would for a child- which I am starting to feel like at this point, I would be so grateful. Thank you so much!

Thank you Rachel and ILOVEMYMAN - great information. One other question. When I Register on domex to make appointment for VCA do I register as myself(petitioner) or as my wife (the applicant)??

It is all about the beneficiary, I went to VAC today and took my fingersprint it was very quick about 10 min.

She should bring

-Passport

-Ds-260 Confirmation

-VAC appointment letter

-Interview letter and that's all, They didn't even ask for this one lol.

Good luck to you guys.
