Hello, I have a question. I am currently waiting on my Filipina's visa process to finish, and we have been talking about our wedding plans for when she is here in America, we are hoping to be able to have our wedding in November or December. The thing is, she wants to have her mother attend the wedding. Is there going to be another process for getting her mother here from the Philippines, and if there is, what would be the easiest and most cost efficient way?

Her mother will have to apply for a tourist visa and satisfy the local consulate requirements in order to have one issued. Unfortunately there is nothing you can effectively do to help her with the visa process.

Mom would have to apply for a tourist visa on HER OWN merits. If she gets approved, yay! If not, then you guys get married in the US without her and then just do a renewal of vows in the Philippines. I know its tough, but that's how it is. Good luck!

If future MIL can afford the cost in money and time, she can try for a tourist visa. About 1-2 months, interview in Manila, $165 fee.
