I think this might be the reason. I did not put either of our names in the bold box at the bottom. I just left it blank. I didn't see the need since our names already were at the top... It didn't make sense to put it twice...

You may not see the need to fill it out but it is there for a reason ;)

How can a government agency claim they don't have our marriage certificate when I'm 150% sure it was sent with our forms. And on the "checklist" we received - didn't say anything about a marriage certificate until I called them just to verify something. The checklist that they sent saidt he IV fee needed to be paid when it already was. Some kind of government orgnazation eh?

How does a government agency just "lose" stuff all the time? it's crazy

its kind of misleading with the bold box. most of the time that means 'FOR OFFICE USE ONLY'. but if thats the reason its an easy fix. I hope they are not like please explain the action the lead up to you meeting. uhhh we met on facebook :-/

There is nothing wrong met on Facebook. My husband and I met through YouTube after he watched all of my videos and they did not give us hard time for that. He only put " met through internet" and I sent him all the first conversations we had on YouTube ensembled to I-129f package. It explained all. No RFE whatsoever.

I am 99.999% sure I did everything perfect. I spent about 15 hours on this i-129f. BUT i still received and RFE. So I thought I would ask others for some things I could have possibly missed. I have used this website from the beginning and it's always been helpful. But I have gone over my copy of the application about 5 times since receiving the notice that they will be sending me an RFE in the mail. We have about 10 pictures of us together just this past april. I included phone logs, facebook chat logs, money transactions, plane tickets, flight itineraries, hotel receipts. I signed every page. I included my california birth certificate and her philippines NSO. passport photes for the g325a or whatever its called. I INCLUDED EVERYTHING!!! I am going to be really mad if its something stupid like "please put "n/a" in all empty boxes". I really don't know what else it could be. any help is appreciated.

ok - my guesses:

1. no proof of uscitizenship on the petitioner or

2. no letter of intent to marry, one from you and one from her

3. no G-325-A on you.

are there prizes for the correct answer?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

sorry,

NVC doc review for a CR-1/IR-1 is totally different,

compared to the OP's dilemma back at post #1 - as

the OP is chasing the I-129F for a K-1 visa,

and your stuff is at NVC, the OP's stuff is at USCIS.

I was very thorough on my application as well and followed guidelines from this site. Sent dozens of pictures, proof of trips, emails, and whatsapp logs. Sent proper birth certificates and baptism record. However, I had a prior marriage with a subsequent divorce...thus I sent a dissolution of marriage certificate from the state of florida but received an RFE requesting the divorce decree which I had to pull from the county court and sent it same day prioirty mail. The issue was resolved in a week after receiving notice.

Also if you have been waiting long, the intent of marriage may have expired or they think one of the prties did not sign in ink with their hand.

I felt the same way and when i finally it arrive it was i only included a letter of intent from me not from him, again that was my RFE simple but yet paused the process.

There is no way of knowing what they want, until you view the RFE itself.

Sometimes they lose things. Stupid, but it happens, when the USCIS is too busy playing candy crush all day.

2- Did the letters of intent specify 90 days? And not just state you intend to get married? That's caused a RFE sometimes.
