No, a CR/IR will not expire. It is K1's that expire. You should get your NOID letter in a few months, 2-4 or so.

I checked our case status online and it says administrative processing updated on June 25th. Is that what happens when a spousal visa is denied? Or is there something else going on?

What was on the paper they gave her before she left the embassy? And I don't know how often they update cases online, you can email the Emabssy and ask them if it was denied if the paper doesn't tell you what action they're doing and to contact your congressman or senator for help immediately!

Online status updates are unreliable. For some it says AP for others it says petition returned. You can't go by that.

Senatorial inquiry is the best way to find out case location.

If they decided to review the case internally at the embassy then you would be in AP but the fact that it says AP online

doesn't mean they did not return the petition.

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

She said the case will be sent back to uscis. The status just changed today.

What was on the paper they gave her before she left the embassy? And I don't know how often they update cases online, you can email the Emabssy and ask them if it was denied if the paper doesn't tell you what action they're doing and to contact your congressman or senator for help immediately!

I did that. And they are on top of it. I sent him all the evidence. Just wondering if they could have put the case on AP rather than sending it back.

I have seen other cases from the Consulate that say the same thing and were denied.

Thanks a lot again for the info. I went to my senator office the same hour it was denied and took soooo many evidence our children passport photos, etc... they reviewed it. And said they would send an email to Ghana. I haven't heard anything back from his office though. I'll call tomorrow. I'm hoping they decided to review it internally.
