I'm hesitant to ask but I need some guidance and surely I'm not the first person to encounter this situation.

I filed my I-130 in February 2015 for my husband residing in Egypt. This is the second time I filed. I withdrew the first petition in the spring/summer of 2014. At the time my husband and I were having very limited, if any communication and it took a huge toll on our relationship. He was largely unavailable because he was trying to locate his youngest brother in Cairo who suffers from a mental disorder (although they didn't know it at the time). I was completely unaware this was happening and in my anger and haste of our lack of communication I withdrew the petition.

Only months later after his brother was found and brought home for medical treatment, did we reconnect and I learned about the situation. Our relationship picked up where we left off and with regret I had to tell my husband that I had cancelled the petition. After some time, I decided to re-file.

What repercussions can I expect and is there any hope that our petition will be accepted.
