Hi



We sent our AOS and IV applications all together on May 19th, and the delivery date according to USPS was May 21st. We called NVC on June 1st to make sure if they received the files and they confirmed that they received the documents on 21st may and also they sent us an email confirming the receipt. They also wrote on their email to allow them 30 days from the receive date to review our case. By today it is 31/30 day after the scan date. What shall i do now? shall i call them asking if my case was reviewed yet? or anything else? please suggest.



People on the same boat who submitted their AOS/IV documents on may please reply here and let us know ur updates. This is really frustrating to wait too long for the NVC process :(

ooppps, thats so long. But one thing, u just submitted ur DS-260 on 11 June. We submitted last month may be 15 May. Does it make any difference ?

I dont understand if they take 60 days for processing why they state 30 days on their email :(

Windows are arbitrary.. practical rule of thumb, about 2 months sd-cc. Safe to build in a 60-day mental buffer due to ceac\nvc\dos issues.

If case complete sooner, we'll call it a bonus!

AshTaz: good that you got your confirmation on time. Just FYI, when it comes to USCIS and NVC and embassy their is no such thing as rule of thumb. Your approach was right with calling them after 30th day if they mention 30 days for processing time. Most of the time things works following the due process but many of them don't and if that is for you and you aren't taking proper measure, it may take quite some time. Also it depends on the petitioners priority. This is a long process and how fast you want to get out of this seemingly infinite loop varies from person to person. Congrats that you are finally out of NVC. Start getting ready for the embassy and interview phase now :-). Good luck
