No matter how much you wish for reality to be different, it just doesn't work out like it does in the movies for the thousands of gun violence victims each and every year in this country. All the wars combined have not claimed as many American lives as firearms have in our streets and cities in less than half a century. That's the reality we live in.

yes, it is far easier to take away everyone's guns rather than allow the law abiding to defend themselves.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

Yeah, what's well over a million lives lost in just under half a century? Little bit of collateral damage is to be expected, I suppose.

because rape whistles are so effective.....

I thought I was the only one who almost choked when I read the post you're referring to... The irony is probably lost, but it's still comical nonetheless.

You going to church is comical, the fact that you carry in church is completely ridiculous.

I just find it laughable and ludicrous that anyone should use Texas as an example of anything positive, uplifting or on the brighter side... One a minute... that's the rate they're populating the planet...

Guns everywhere in Texas and yet there are shootings with mass casualties all over the place. The armed Texas citizenry is failing to prove the insane NRA claim.

I sense a certain rape whistle fetish among some posters...

I have a question. If the US has the highest ownership of firearms in the free world and have the largest amount of gun deaths in the free world, what would more guns solve?
