USPS Trouble

So we sent out our I-129F package last tuesday (June 9th) with USPS with First Class mail, it was supposed to get there Thursday, or Friday at the latest.

We saw it arrived in Dallas on the 11th and were excited to get it there in time but nothing happened. This morning the USPS tracking thing still said last Friday was the delivery date, while clearly it was late. IT kept saying it was in Dallas and in transit to the destination.

Just now I rechecked it before going to bed and I see that our package is back in our state, only minutes away from the post office where my fiance dropped it off to be sent.

Are they really sending our package back to us?? I read about USPS messing up before and sending it to the wrong address but should we be getting worried?

Oh, wow! That looks bad.... Why would that happen? I've nothing helpful to post, but I am waiting for my package to be delivered internationally and I sent it on the 8th, so I was curious if there were any problems in general.

Please give us an update if you get any info on the package so we can learn or at least encourage you if you have any frustrations!

I honestly have no clue what would be wrong with our package as we send each other international packages pretty much monthly so I am sure my fiance closed it properly and he put the correct address on it as wel, he texted me the address he had put on the package.

I wish I wasn`t but I`m freaking out

I would call them to see what's going on. Maybe it's just a clerical error? I'm sure they could probably give you more insight.

that package is headed back to you.

you won't know why until the package hits your door.

it was returned same day, so it's possible USCIS not even open it.

From the tracking it looks like you sent it as certified which requires a signature so you should have used the other address not the PO Box, the texas lockbox has a secondary address for overnight and other types of packages that require signature confirmation.

Yeah but I sent mine to the PO box with signature and it was signed for. Perhaps they changed policy. Yeah that looks like it is coming back to you.

After 24 hours of stressing and nail biting and still not being able to pick up what is waiting for us in my fiance`s local post office, he just got a text at work from USCIS

OUR PACKAGE HAS BEEN RECEIVED!!

(And we`re going to CSC )

So we`re guessing that slip is only the return receipt but it made us really nervous.

USPS tracking website can be unreliable at best. Glad you got the notification and the package was delivered.

Next time use Federal Express. They make a profit, USPS does not and is not capable of making a profit despite billions of dollars poured into them.

Difference is "Customer Care", and "Customer no care" because they don't have to. Kind of like USCIS

No they accept delivery to the address. I sent mine to the Lewisville Lock Box Address not the PO Box on Fed Ex. Got a signature on file and knew within minutes by email when they got it.

Thanks for y`all help. Well ours got there in 2 days, sent on Tuesday in VA, accepted on Thursday in TX, so we`re very happy, it was just stressful until we knew!
