Just wondering what your legal team thinks?

The judge with jurisdiction of my case is known for being well-disposed to grant reliefs to those who qualify. During my case, he had the same demeanor towards me and my counselor. ICE attorney opposed vehemently the VD, the judge still granted it to me, not going with what they were trying to alledge. At the end of the case, he even asked my attorney if he could consider any other type of reliefs for me to adjust, making it sound like he'd be willing to work with me, if there just was an application for relief we could submit, but there wasn't. The best he could do for me at that point was give me VD.

My legal team thinks the case will be re-opened, and then it will be up to judge how he feels about my marriage. He said that the worse case scenario is that the judge may not believe that I married for the right reason, but that he's also known for allowing people that qualify to apply for relief. The fact that I have no convictions is another good thing.

It's 50%-50%, they say! Chance I'm willing to take if I can avoid being away from my family for the unforeesable future.

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
