But does Gary agree?

I agree, Israelis are America's friends and allies.

Heh...wonder if he's still in Ankara...

In fact, Israelis ARE America's friends and allies, and I say that as an Israeli so I think I know a little bit more about it than you do. In the 7(total) years of my life that I've spent in the US pretty much every person I know has acknowledged that, but for some reason you keep refusing to, but that is your prerogative.

Most Israelis, like the US, support the US, consider themselves friends of all Americans, moreso than you will find in any other country in the Middle East(or most everywhere around the world, actually).

America and American taxpayers should not fund, support, or arm people who practice bigotry, discrimination, and apartheid no matter how much they snuggle up to our congressmen at budget time.

and my god, can you imagine a world where americans didn't..

That dusty document is a pretty good place to start applying a litmus test of who does and does not share our values. They do not, and we need to quit pretending that they do.

I and my family and others like us who have lived here for many years really aren't having any problems in the Middle East.

"To most Americans, facts are pesky little things"...Gee, can you imagine if anybody on a "diffferent side" said that. But hey, some people are allowed to say or do anything. I suggest this - anyone who isn't happy with their fellow Americans can go look for a home in Switzerland they'd be much happier there.

or Abu Dhabi.

Both of which are places where our consular staff aren't pelted with stones from the violent, radical residents there.

Perhaps one day Israel and Israelis will join the peaceful and civilized community of nations and will be included on lists that include Switzerland and Abu Dhabi rather than on lists that include Libya and Iran.

On the issue of sense America and Americans are slowly coming to realize that Israel is just one more oppressive and fascist state and as such warrants no action for or against from us. We have discarded far more important "friendships" over a much shorter list of differences in principles.

Sweet dreams.

^^^ People on a "different side" do say that: people who pay attention to facts.

By the way, fighting ignorance in America makes me happy, especially willful ignorance. But thanks anyway for your suggestion.

Sweet dreams.

^^^ That's deep. Very deep.

Keep smiling :)

Oh, always do, always will. Israel will keep contributing more to the world than most countries which will keep driving you crazy, the US and Israel will keep being allies...and you and your other buddies that talk like they came from outer space will end up bitter, frustrated old people.

I miss that guy. Only other moderate on here besides us

A Vermont moderate? Gary? lol actually despite the stigma of being a liberal haven, alot of people here are actually pretty moderate. I consider myself one as well. Some people on this forum will try to tell you that I'm extreme but that's only because they are like on the extreme left that you wouldn't even believe exists. My opinions on most things are actually moderate compared to most on both sides.

Oh, I also LOVE fighting ignorance in America. The problem is, America is not ignorant. It's only a few patronizing, condescending people that think they are better than their fellow Americans who are ignorant.
