I noticed that as well when I called them up that there's no option for visa status so I just pressed any number until I reached the option to speak with an agent. I told the agent that I didn't know if I pressed the right option but I'm calling for visa status. She then asked for the UID and passport number, put me on hold, and checked my profile. You can try doing that. :)

I had my interview and got my visa approved last Monday, 1st of June 2015. My fiance and I are wondering how much longer do we need to wait for the visa to be issued because I've been staying in Manila since my visa was approved, we changed the delivery option to pick up in 2Go SM North branch instead of delivering it to my home address in Davao hoping to avoid any delays. I've constantly checked the status online and it says "Ready" for several days now and it was last updated June 8th. We called the help line regularly and was told "Kindly wait for text and email". Getting impatient here.

Hi. I had my interview June 1 as well so maybe we've seen each other. It seems like it's taking a longer time now for them to process the visas. For what reason, we can only assume. My status changed to AP on June 9 despite getting verbal approval from the consul. I'm confident that there's nothing wrong with our cases. We just need to be more patient and keep updating each other since we're from the same batch. Let's hope usem speeds it up a little.

Hi graceygee! :) Maybe nga we've bumped into each other that time, I spent about 10 hours at the embassy that time. Haha This thing requires patience big time! kaloka! Yes, let's just keep giving updates to make each other feel better naman somehow. I'm just hoping they won't prolong our agony of waiting, not naman sana for a month. Lord hear our prayers. :)

Same here. Spent almost 10 hours to finish the interview. Seems like K1 isn't their priority so they put us last. I remember the embassy almost empty already and the ones left were just K1 applicants. We've gone this far already so let's get strength from each other to be more patient. I'm sorry you have to stay in Manila this long. Keep on updating. I'll be here to update you as well.

Thanks for the tip! I called and chose the option for embassy hours and location, then after the long automated talk it gave me an option to talk to an agent! I explained and they escalated our case. I'm hoping for good news. But it is a holiday today, so maybe next week.

Speaking of holidays, that embassy gets twice the time off you know... they get BOTH Philippine and US holidays. Doesn't really help us who are ever so patiently waiting for their visa.

Hi xwind. Glad I can help :) They have no choice but to attend to you once you reach the agent. I pressed 5 which says etcetera and it went straight to an agent. Lol Call them up again on Monday to follow up. I hope your case moves very soon!

At times it may not sound fair, but remember you have two cultures and both are working under the same roof. They work very hard to make this whole process run as smooth as it does. In my opinion, they deserve time off to be with their families and time to rejuvenate their batteries. God bless them for the work they do.

USEM will issue well over 175,000 visas during FY 2015

Do you get holidays off from your work? Is that fair to the customers you serve? There are both Filipinos and Americans working there and both must be there as there are numerous steps and interactions with each. Should they take the American holidays or Filipino ones in your opinion?
