Wife approved for CR1 now I'm confused

So my wife was approved for CR1 visa. I want to bring her here end of the month. Do I need to go to the Philippines and fly back with her or can I just buy her a ticket and have her come alone. Will she have problems during customs? Cause even as a us citizen I get treated like ####### from customs officers. I also hear horror stories of Seattle customs sending people with CR1 visa back . I just want her to have a good experiment coming here. Will customs be easy for her?

Frankly, I haven't heard of any CR1 visa holder from Phils being sent home. She should be fine traveling on her own.

She will be ok. My wife is flying to Denver from Manila by herself in a couple of days

Some airports are easier to get through than others, but there are always plenty of people in uniforms, she could ask questions, so just pay attention, and do not panic if she gets confused.

As for P.O.E. places.,.,we came from Cebu to Atlanta, and was treated like.,.,.,really bad. But, I think it depends on who the officer is on any given day.

You, "could" have a hard time at most any airport, but more than likely, there will be no problems.

Yeah. I'm hoping everything goes well. Because I feel like if I get treated bad she will. I feel like maybe having her go to Hawaii first. Because they probably get more immigrants more often then not then put on a flight from there to Seattle .

These "stories" you hear are probably not much more than that. There is no hard proof that Seattle turns away more CR-1 visa holders away than anywhere else. If they did turn away a disproportionate number of people, it would probably be all over the local news with CBP's own data.

Anyone at anytime can get treated bad in any country at any

airport with all the security & rumors in place these days, it

depends on the idiot processing you, you cannot block

the blows of rudeness of an unhappy CBP decides to be

rude, over all most ppl are courteous that works in

the airport, tell her read signs & ask a pleasant looking

person if she needs help, she'll be ok

First time I was there we got off at A station. LOL. Now I know always B (for united) and terminal. I'm in there every 2-3 months picking up the kiddo. I get a pass from the checkin to get her as an unaccompanied minor.

CR-1s get no hassle, well 99.99999% don't (I have never read of anyone being turned away though). Immigration officers might seem a bit short but they're not exactly going to start screaming like banshees or landing punches.

Has your wife traveled before, particularly to the US, or is this her first time outside the Philippines? If she's never traveled before, it might be a good idea to fly over and pick her up. It's a big step for anyone to move half way around the world but especially so, if your wife has never really traveled or lived abroad before.

If she has traveled then I'm sure she'll be fine, at least then she'll know the basics of travelling and how an airport works. There are signs to follow and people to ask. And there'll be like 200 people on her flight so she can just follow the stream of people.

Have you read the POE review for Seattle? If not, have a read through and see what others have said about Seattle as POE. That helped me decide what my POE will be.

I was also thinking the same thing (going to the Philippines and fly back with her) but for practical reasons we decided that I will just get her a ticket and she will come here alone. It will be her first time travelling to the US so I am getting a ticket with the least stopovers (just 1), same airlines and same route that I frequently use so I could give her specific instructions.

for any one who has a spouse flying alone to USA from the Philippines relax everything will be ok. My wife flew alone. it was her first time flying to another country. she flew into Denver and she made it with no problems.
