Usually how many weeks I'll receive my marriage certificate? Each state and county have different timetables in returning your MC. Typically 2-4 weeks is normal.

AOS etc. AOS will take 3-6 months to process.

Do they have expedited process? No, but I can't speak for the military. Your husband should visit his AJ (Military Lawyer) on his base, ship, foxhole, hanger, wherever their office is.

Or do u have any suggest best services that could help us out to process out AOS before my visa expired. When does your visa expire?

It happened that my husband will be deploy this coming Oct. I'm afraid that we can't process asap. ? thank u. Why do you say you can't process right away?

We need more information to help.

Thank you for the added information. Here is what you are facing. If you have gotten married then you have satisfied your visa requirement. During the AOS process you are technically what is called "out of status" which technically could get you deported if it were to be inforced. BUT, the good new is, if you file your AOS, then you are "safe". The chances of something bad happening to you is almost "ZERO"!! So take a deep breath and relax. You are not going back to the Phil nor are you going to jail.

First things first.

Have the two of you gotten married? (You say husband so I am assuming that you are married) Date?

Can you and your husband do your AOS before he leaves or do you do you need help?

If not, Can someone help you complete the AOS?

You can read what is involved at my website for completion of the AOS.

Greenbaum,

this is McLez's husband....I am kinda stuck here man. im wondering where and when to start. so we got married already and got our marriage certificate. but the certificate was laid out in a manner where it does not show my last name with her. it was laid out separately. so my plan was to apply her for an SSN with my last name. so my question is where to start and how do I change her last name to mines?? thanks a whole lot.

I get confuse with filing in I-765 EAD, what will be the name I will use to fill in (Full Name) is it the name I have in passport and I-94 or I should put my married name on it?

From this point forward the only name you know is your new married name. Use it for all things new and renewed. Use the Philippines naming nomenclature; You first name, Filipino family name for middle name (maiden name), and husband's last name for your new last name.

She just needs to begin using her new name. Start with SSN and bring the documents requested including your marriage certificate. They will extract what they need to produce the SSN in her correct name. Then going for continue to use that name for all you documents. See my post about the naming order that should be used.

You got this and can do this. You'll be fine.

BTW, a faster response from me is if you quote what I said then I get and email that you responded then I can return here to add my thoughts otherwise if I am not in this thread then I wouldn't know that you are still asking questions or need additional clarification. Or you can send me a PM and I will also get notification that you have sent a question(s).
