Hi everyone!

My name is Abby and I live in Atlanta, GA. I'm engaged to an awesome man named John who lives outside Toronto, Canada. We met playing video games on Xbox and have met in person 3 times over the last year (once for almost a month)!

We've been gathering paperwork for almost a month now and we're just about ready to submit. I'm so grateful for this website because it made it SOO much easier! Any question I had was already answered with a quick search.

I'm looking forward to getting this big binder in the mail and updating my timeline! Unfortunately I see that I-129Fs from Georgia go to the Texas service center :(, but hopefully it won't take too long!

Right now everything everything is being sent to CSC. Also if you have a big binder you have waaay to much stuff. I'm guessing in the evidence department, people seem to misunderstand that section. They want proof you met in person in the last two years, not proof of your whole relationship. Anyway, good luck and be happy you'll be sent to CSC, despite every K1 being sent there they are still approving them at 4-5 weeks.

Welcome to the forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

That is good news! I'm waiting on the signed forms from my fiance to come in the mail and then it'll be sent off!

It's a one inch binder, so I guess not that big :)! We have met in person three times in the past year, so I have all the flight confirmations and passport stamps, etc. I was putting together snippets of our convos from each month of the last 2 years, but you're right, that's probably overkill.

Hi Abby,

Welcome, congratulations and good luck!

Don't fear Texas: that's where our petition went and it took 3 months from filing the I-129F to receiving Consulate advice (P3/4). Was actually pretty amazed how fast it all went through in the USA.

Above is correct. Relationship proof at the I-129F stage is simply that you have met in the last 2 years. For this, we simply provided photos of us together in both Australia and the USA with dates. Easy. The full-detail stuff should be ready to be given at the Consular interview stage, but you have plenty of time for that.

Filed I-129F: 3 November 2014 (CSC)

NOA 1: 20 November 2014

NOA 2: 2 February 2015

Consulate Notification: 8 April 2015

Consular Interview: 19 May 2015
Medical: 20 May 2015
Administrative Processing: 20 May - ???

GLOBAL VISA SHUTDOWN: 9 June 2015
Advised approved for issuance: 24 June 2015
Requested re-validated I-129F (expired during shutdown): 24 June 2015
Advised I-129F revalidation received: 30 June 2015
Administrative Processing: 30 June 2015

Visa Issued: 13 JULY 2015
USA POE: 24 OCT 2015
