Hey everyone.. My case was sent to NVC december 10th. i called yesterday to see if they received it. The guy said something about that they have it but its not in the system yet..to call back next week. i dont get it..what does that mean? So anybody know?

IKR! smh NVC is so backlogged because they're understaffed and it is currently taking 2.5 weeks just for someone to finally pick up your case and enter the information into the system. They will enter your case information in their system and your case and invoice number will be generated - those numbers let you login to the ceac.state.gov/ website and fill in forms online and pay fees and send in the AOS&IV packets ;)

I made the first call to the NVC today and found out they recieved our file yesterday 12-22-15 from uscis. The fellow from NVC also said its taking up to 45 days to enter the info into their system so I am gonna just try to relax and enjoy our holidays. I am fighting feeling like crying as this process is taking so so long. Happy Holidays to everyone and I hope you guys get very good news and all this is a bit speedier than I am afraid it will be.

2015-06-17 - I-130 sent

2015-06-29 - I-130 received, NOA1

2015-12-03 - I-130 approved!, NOA2

2015-12-15 - Sent to NVC

NVC

2015-12-22 - NVC Received

2016-01-04 - NVC case number and IIN assigned

2016-01-05 - Received DS-261 / AOS Bill

2016-01-05 - Submitted DS-261

2016-01-07 - Paid AOS Fee

2016-01-13 - AOS shows paid

2016-01-14 - IV fee unlocked

2016-01-14 - Paid IV Fee

2016-01-20 - DS-260 unlocked

2016-01-27 - DS-260 sent

2016-01-27 - AOS/IV package sent EP!

2016-01-27 - Automatic email confirmed that AOS/IV package has been received by the NVC

2016-02-08 - Checklist for native birth certificate needing translation

2016-02-10 - Resubmitted birth certificate with translation via EP

2016-02-16 - Third N/A! Called and confirmed we have CC!!!

2016-02-26 - Interview date received via call to NVC

2016-02-27 - Interview email received (on a Saturday)

Montreal Consulate

2016-02-29 - Montreal Consulate Packet Recieved by email.

2016-02-29 - NVC website shows case now in Montreal

2016-03-30 - Medical completed

2016-04-05 - Interview APPROVED!!!!!!!!!

2016-04-06 - CEAC website shows Visa ISSUED!!!

2016-04-11 - Got passeport with visa back in mail

2016-04-12 - Date of US entry through through Thousand/Wellesley Island

2016-04-14 - Arrived at destination, husband and wife finally reunited

Got approved on 17 Nov nve got paperwork on Dec 7 git case number Dec 21... now on to next steps

It took them 15 day to generate my case number so call each week

Just called nvc and got my case# super excited best Christmas gift everrrrr

Congrats NVC received my case a few days after you, so anyday now i get my case # ,hopefully :)

When I called it was 9pm est time n the guy was so nice n helpful he said they just did it so nvc is working late. So any day now

I just called and got thru right away, and they said "they received it but it still dont have a case number nor a folder" i dont know what that means, and she said it takes 42 days from the day they received it ... ughh lol

To be honest I was calling everyday so if I was you I will call them tomorrow but make sure you call before 2pm est time they close early tomorrow cause of the holidays
