Cool story, Bro.

I could probably find a similar story for any world leader on the planet, no matter how corrupt. Being personally a nice guy does NOT, in fact, make someone an ideal leader. I'm really good to animals and I've done a lot of social work and supported people through horrifying experiences. I'd be a really bad president.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Glad you see him as a world leader, He was just the Governor of Texas. That being said, I think Canada and Texas are pretty close in size and population, So considering Texas a country is understandable.

If you do some studying on Perry and the prior Governor Bush you will see that Texas has had leadership that has kept us out of recession or feeling very little compared to the rest of the USA. I know this fact from living here and getting the benefits......

You're being a semantic pedant. When a person puts their hat in the ring to become a world leader, one must consider how they stack up as though they were already a world leader before placing any support between them.

And if you did some studying on the prior President Bush, you'd see that the leadership of Texas may have led TEXAS out of recession, but the leadership of Texas is very good at putting the US INCLUDING TEXAS at risk of more job loss once they reach the presidency.

Hate to break it to you VOL but one thing Rick Perry will most certainly never be is POTUS. That's just a simple fact. My money is on him not even getting close to the GOP nomination for President. We had one of them great TX governors become President and my yet to be born great-grandchildren will probably still be paying for the damage he did. Another one of those and this place is done.

I would love to see a good fiscal consevitve who believes in civil liberties for all and would stop making us the world police

Having 12+/=million illegals here working and almost as big a number of citizens on assistance is insane
