Hi, my husband is from Nicaragua. I am a US Citizen. He has been in US illegally for 10 years, we have been married for 4 years. I-601A waiver was approved. Waiting on IR-1 Visa application approval and interview in Managua. We sent a statement to the Visa Center advising we cannot get my husbands background from Nicaragua until we go for the interview. We hope this won't prevent the application from being denied???? Has anyone had this issue? Also, we are tyring to find out if we need to bring local police records from the US to our interview in Managua.... since he has been out of his country for 10 years. Their website says yes, but not sure if that applies to us since he has been in the US and already had the biometrics/fingerprints/FBI background check??? He had the biometrics as part of his I-601a waiver application. It will be difficult for us to get his local record in California as he doesn't live there anymore and they will only issue in person. We currently live in Las Vegas, we can get that local record no problem.

Has anyone had an interview in Nicaragua? We are wondering if the interview will be different for us since my husband has been in the US for 10 years already?? I am so nervous to leave and go to Nicaragua and something happens at the interview and they deny us. My husband has no record/arrests or anything but am still scared. Any help or advise is appreciated.
