Apply for a visitor visa extension. You are permitted one 6 month extension per visit. Get the extension in ASAP as USCIS recommends applying at least 90 days prior to departure date.

Use Form I-539 to apply (This form is not linked from the Guide, but is the one you need to file)

Get married now as the spousal visas for US and Australia are simpler than the fiance visa options.

Return home to Uni and either file for her immigrant visa to Australia (See the Australian Embassy website for instructions on getting started) or have her file for your immigrant visa to US (see the guides here for CR-1 visa)

Finances allowing, you can continue to use your B visa to come to US to visit wife during breaks in the school year.

If applying to come to US and accept the job in Detroit, if your visa interview has not been scheduled by the end of the school year, you can use your visitor visa to return and wait for the approval notice with your wife, returning to Oz for the interview. Figure on 4 to 5 weeks in Oz to complete the final steps and then you can return to US as a Permanent Resident if all goes well.

Your wife may also be able to join you in Australia while you wait on the US visa petition process and attend school. She can apply for an Ozzie visitor visa or temporary work visa and wait out the US process while getting to know your family back home.

That all assumes you are going to US. Bringing her to Australia and accepting one of the job offers you have waiting there, as well as completing your degree on campus has definite benefits and she can file a petition to bring you to US at a later date should you decide to settle there after you graduate.
