what does she show at the bank, western union office, or voter booth on voting day?

Her passport, but the embassy will take this is all goes well Thursday. I guess if they won't take her NBI she will have to wait in Manila for the passport.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The only photo identification she has is her passport. She also has a NBI which includes a picture from the Philippine government. She has no other photo identifcation.

Problem solved

I found this on Facebook by Cebu Pacific as someone else had the same question. They will accept a current NBI as its considered government identification.

is postal ID or nbi clearance valid for domestic flights? thanks.

Cebu Pacific Air Hi Do! Yes, Postal ID and NBI clearance are acceptable as long as it is still valid. You may use any government issued ID with photo as your valid ID upon check in. Hope this helps.

What is the problem here? Thousand of people do interviews at USEM weekly and the embassy keeps the passport and they fly back home using NBI or Postal ID....

There is no problem as I confirmed the NBI would be acceptable as I clearly stated two responses ago.

Question is will the USem give back the documents after the interview?

ya, I smell another problem.

usually the NBI clearance is taken at the interview.

it's possible to make a photocopy of the NBI clearance, bring original and photocopy in to interview day, make certain Manila IV only takes the photocopy but sees the original during interview.

I have seen them take school ID when flying, It's not that hard to get on a domestic flight in Philippines..........
