venting :( Waiting for Interview longer than getting out of TSC hell!

so this must be a new kind of hellish purgatory.. I got myself ready for TSC. Braced myself for a minimum 8 month wait.. but, our K-1 was approved in roughly 1 month

everything thereafter went fast.. I think we stayed at NVC for 2 weeks? It was even the Riyadh Embassy that notified us that they received our case already

so we get all needed documents, pay the MRV, do everything needed and submit our readyness documents to the Riyadh Embassy. It was received March 22..

and up to now... no interview date scheduled yet

we are now on our 9th week waiting for the stupid interview date and nothing

sigh.. just venting never in my wildest dreams did i expect our holdup to be the backlog at the Riyadh Embassy to schedule the interview date

You might need to find out what you have to do. In our case, I sent an email a little before the case arrived to our embassy. I received one back saying they would electronically send the packet 3 a while after they received it. We heard nothing. Then, as I was re-reading a member's embassy review, she said that they never got packet 3 or 4. In her case, she scheduled an interview on the embassy non-immigrant tool, but then sent an email because she found out she may have made a mistake - sometimes K-1's are considered immigrant in DoS. The embassy scheduled her interview for an earlier time.

We just did the same thing yesterday; hopefully it works for us. I've sent the embassy four e-mails during the start of this journey. Two have been answered, and two have been ignored. Just keep pushing. Keep piping up in a polite manner so they don't forget you!

thank you so much, but unfortunately it feels like purgatory for me because I've been in constant contact with the Riyadh Embassy and nothing is wrong, it's just a backlog they have to work with

there was a point in March where they had closed down for 5 straight days due to terror threats.. that alone told me there's going to be scheduling hell

but i never thought it'd be like this.. 2 months+ thankfully, they do reply to my emails when I inquire every 2 weeks.. and it's just a backlog
