Hey cameroonians, let's keep this forum alive here. I see very minimal posts, thanks to contribution from zebra2014, and visajourney2012 we get very decisive info about how the yde embassy carries out interview. I can't wait to here more.

My case complete May 5, 2015 still waiting for an appointment date. God's bless and strength as we get to unite with our love ones.

Ohh good, let's keep our fingers crossed. In the main time could you kindly share with us your visa status as well as how far you ve gone in processing.

Ohh yea why not? In my case i'm going in for CR-1 immigrant visa, we applied already currently at Nebraska service center as written on my timeline.

But after various researches as my wife went to the US embassy, my we decided to go through the DCF aswell , since as the processing time will be less, It sounds hectic paying another $450 but we took the decision since as we both wanna reduce the possible time of being apart .So at this point i'm waiting for my i130 approval hoping that the DCF will reduce the waiting time.

Hi Ul &Cr, we filled in for the same visa category, but mind was filled in lubbock contrary to yours. Yes, the visa fee is same and the procedure is virtually the same. I have not heard much about DCF, but I know it is widely practiced. I m hoping to received appointment soon as my case is already complete. I wish you good luck in all the processing as well. We re never done until the visa is at hand. Let's put all things in prayer so that the Good Lord see US through this nightmare, especially when our love onces are so distant for a very long period.

Hello, you're right, it's a hard journey but at the end , we'll certainly smile after receiving the visa. As for the DCF it is direct consular filling and that can be done at certain embassies around the world which have the USCIS office attached to it. It's processing time is shorter as compared using the USCIS offices in the US. However when we called the embassy, the lady kinda told my wife that , the spouse have to be there ,a month after we filled directly through the US , my wife went at the embassy in person so as to ask an immigration officer directly, but the immigration officer said ,we can still file through them and it will probably take 2 months maximum.

Notwithstanding since as your case is already completed ,i guess you're close to the end of journey keep the faith up and pray , I really wish to know if the US embassy in Yaounde isn't that complicated, because from what i know from VJ members from Ghana and Nigeria, they really say horrible stories about theirs.

Best of luck "God will make a way"

Hello, Evidence are never too much, so bring as many as you can. If possible you should buy a photo album and fill it with y'all photos , as for the viber conversation do the same, i'm not sure about the letter and emails, since as i dont write letters /emails to my wife. I have millions of fb messages as we chat all the time.

Don't be nervous ,just assemble your evidence and go grab your visa ..Good luck to everyone :goofy::dancing:

You can take screen shots of y'all conversations , and later transfer all the screen shots photos to a computer that have a printer . However due to the nature of things here in Cameroon, i think you should go to an outstanding cyber cafe or documentary offices, you will certainly print out your conversations there.

Hope your understand my advice.
