Hi everyone,

I see a lot of people posting similar questions about how they are unable to check their case status online, and are either told to wait or call, or change browsers, and that seems to help some of them. I've done it all - (we've all done the waiting), I tried calling USCIS and even the woman two weeks ago told me that she couldn't check the status, and that I need to "give it time".

I've tried the app, tried the work computer, gone through all of the threads I could find and nothing is working, still getting "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information."

I'd mainly like to know how many other people are in the same situation I am - if I can't get the case status through any means, I'm sure that I'm not some special snowflake that somehow magically can't get any updates.

If anything, seeing that there are people in the same situation would be the best consolation.

Forgive my rant! As I'm sure everyone knows here, the stress from the visa is not the only stress we have, there's work, dealing with the distance, and everything else that comes with it. As always, wishing the best of luck to everyone in their journey!

We were unable to see our case status online until we got our NOA2 approximately 5 months later. That was in 2009. Obviously little has changed. It is incredibly frustrating, I know! I called occasionally to see if they had any updates to give me over the phone. They never did. I hope you get your answer soon--this process is so stressful. Good luck to you!
