USCIS Last Updated Date

Hello all,

Bit of a random question. Does anyone know that when logged into the USCIS site if the last updated date actually gets updated now?

Or will it basically only change once we find out the petition is approved? Our has stayed the same since my wife registered for the site with a date about 12 days after our NOA1.

Just trying to see if looking at it is worth while or basically a waste of time and the only change we will see is once approved.

Thanks!
