You can't send a personal check. It has to be a cashiers check or money order.

What about those who've sent theirs already. Will they process it? The site doesn't say paid yet. It still says 'pay now'

Guys, on VJ I have read that some people have been trying to pay the AOS fee for one month now BUT there is also someone (strangely enough with PD may 2014) that has already pay the AOS and waiting for the IV fee to be opened.

Is that possible?

Plus, how can be that the NVC - aware of this issue with the system - has not fixed it yet?

I mean, it seems so strange to me..

Is really sending the money by mail our only option?

Folks who are considering the option to send fee by mail, I would suggest to wait for one more week till 07/10/2015 as per notice below that was issued on 06/29/2015 ; they are estimating the online system for immigrant section to be fixed next week.

"We are still experiencing problems with some online immigrant visa application forms. We hope to have a fix in place for this by early next week."

http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html

I hope they keep their time line as promised this time; considering the 4th of July long weekend.

I did pay my IV fee via mail and got email to submit DS260 after 7 days (once payment was processed plus phone call to them) and I hope can submit DS260 next week.

Hi,

My problem is i already completed DS-261 and it said completed then. We even received an email that its completed. However, i accidentally clicked on the DS-261 form again and it's making me

Do it again. When i exit the page and checked it again, it said incomplete. But when i called nvc, they said it's already showing as completed on their end.

But because DS-261 is not showing as completed and could not make payments online because of the incomplete DS-261, we ended up sending our payments via mail. We send it last june 22.

Their website problem has been going on for how many weeks now. And now on the website, it shows as DS-261 incomplete and fees not yet paid.

:(
